Twitter trial questions/discussion
The trial between Twitter and Elon kicks off on Monday Oct 17 and I keep reading that it is set to run for 5 days. My question is, do we expect the ruling to come on Friday the 21st of October? – Friday would be day 5 of the trial. I can’t find any other information on when a potential ruling would come out. The judge (Kathleen McCormick) said that delaying the trial by 4 weeks “would risk further harm to Twitter too great to justify”, so I’m expecting a relatively quick ruling
I’m someone who thinks that Elon will have to uphold his end of the agreement and buy twtr at $54.20/share. Yesterday, the judge ruled that she will not extend the trial so Elon has more time to build the case around the whistleblower. This also means that if he loses, he cannot appeal based on the judge disallowing the counterclaim based on whistleblower allegations. I think they have his balls in a salad shooter here.
I’m holding 42 10/21 TWTR $50 calls. I want to throw some more money at it, but I’m not sure if I should put it into the 10/28 calls. I’ve been keeping my eyes on the options chain and it looks like the 10/28s just became available for to buy today. I’m trying to decide if I want to double down on the 10/21s, keep the 10/21s and buy 10/28s, or go even further out. The 10/21s are naturally cheaper so I’m trying to get the greatest number of options for the lowest price, but I also don’t want my options to expire before a ruling has been made
